True to their commitment, Reddford House plausibly maintains a level of educational excellence that surpasses the restraints of traditional academia.

To ensure all Reddford House students are adequately equipped for the globally competitive world in all aspects, Reddford House Blue Hills, Northcliff and The Hills are proud to be affiliated with the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) curriculum.

The IEB is an independent assessment authority, which has had its IEB NSC, and their Advanced Programmes in Mathematics and English, benchmarked by UK National Academic Recognition Information Centre (UK NARIC).

The IEB NSC is a Proudly South African qualification that is equivalent to the UK AS level. In addition, its Advanced Programme Mathematics and Advanced Programme English are equivalent to the UK A levels. IEB graduates have been accepted into the most elite universities in the world. The IEB NSC and their Advanced Programme subjects prepare students for tertiary study both within South Africa’s borders, and the world at large.

Providing a holistic education to students from 1 year old to Grade 12, Reddford House offers subjects in all the eight Learning Areas of the National Curriculum, with a wide variety of subjects available in Grades 10 to 12.

With the assistance and support of the exceptional Reddford House teachers, students are motivated, stimulated and extended to meet the highest academic expectations.

Reddford House Schools, a member of Inspired, pride themselves on applying the unique Reggio Emilia educational approach to their Early Learning Schools education.

A teaching philosophy first developed in post-war Italy, focuses on recognising and celebrating each individual pre-school child’s innate abilities and gifts. Children are regarded as competent and capable in their own right and the philosophy respects childhood as a time to explore, create and be joyful.

Catering for infants to five years old, the Reggio Emilia Inspired approach form a solid foundation; children receive an outstanding start to their education and many students exceed expectations for their age. As a result children have a strong academic framework to move confidently on to junior years.

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome Mr. Grant Ferreira who will be our new Deputy Head in 2017. Previously, Mr. Ferreira was appointed co-ordinator at one of our other Reddford schools. He taught at Woodhill College High School where he was an Executive Committee Member, Head of House and Head of Athletics. He also presented leadership/management and safety courses for the mines for three years. Mr. Ferreira is an experienced educator with strong leadership and relation building skills. He is a committed and qualified coach in a variety of sporting fields. He is co-owner of the Glenwegians Soccer Club and he also played semi-professional soccer for Arcadia Shepards. He has played Premier League cricket for Tshwane Metro. We look forward to his leadership and guidance next year.
